2 x 2.10 Antique Bidjar Rug, Kurdistan Province, Northwest Persia, Circa 1915
A charming antique Bidjar “Mat” or “Poshti”, terms used for small rugs approximately 2 feet by 3 feet in size. The navy blue field contains a red medallion with leaves and flowerheads and framed by ivory trim in a diamond shape. Whimsical flowers decorate the field which is framed by a deep sky blue border.
