4.10 x 6.2 Antique Afshaar Rug, Boteh Design, South Persia, Circa 1915

A finely woven Afshar tribal rug, probably woven by sedentary people living in the Kerman area in south central Persia. The navy blue field is decorated with large Boteh (Paisley shape motifs) and is framed by a terra cotta color border with Paisley motifs and Cypress trees.
