A finely woven Bakhtiari tribal rug from southern Persian. This piece is a village weaving rather than a nomad rug. It features a version of the famous Garden Panel design, with panels decorated with various stylized floral forms in shades of green, camel, coral, brick red, mid blue and ivory. A camel color border frames the field.
Moderately priced, this is an excellent choice for a beginning collector or a furnishing rug with nice color and character.
Generally very good condition with thin pile and minor wear.
