Woven in the Joshagan area, located in north central persia, south of Kashan and north of Isphahan, this rug, with a classically influenced long and narrow shape, is decorated with Quatrefoils, Willow trees and shrubs on a navy blue field. Beautiful shades of light green, sky blue and various shades of salmon or red, contrast well with the navy field.

This rug has a classic, “old world” feel to it; in part due to the low pile and areas of foundation that show through the pile and in part due to the design and palette.

Of beautiful quality, you can see in the detail photo of the weave that the back of the rug has a tapestry like appearance.

Priced according to the condition.
