4’11” x 6’10” New Afghani Rug With A Design Based On Antique Caucasian “Eagle Kazak” Rugs
This very decorative new rug was hand woven by Afghani weavers and uses a design associated with antique Caucasian rugs referred to as “Eagle Kazak” rugs. Interestingly, so called “Eagle Kazak” rugs were not generally woven in the Kazak region in the southwest Caucasus but further east in the Karabagh region. The rug here features a beautiful grayish-camel color field with two ivory medallion with green and coral highlights and a navy blue medallion with mid blue and yellow highlights. An ivory border frames the field.
