4’8″ x 6’2″ Antique Karaja Rug, Heriz Area, Northwest Persia, Circa 1925
An antique Karaja rug from the Heriz area in northwest Persia’s Azerbaijan province. The cheerful palette includes two green and one navy medallion on a deep salmon color field. A navy blue “Turtle” design border border with a mid blue interior guard border and coral color exterior guard border frame the field.
Ancillary colors include camel, light green, mahogany and ivory.
