4.6 x 7 Antique Bidjar Rug, Quatrefoil Design, Northwest Persia, Circa 1890
A finely woven, wool foundation antique Bidjar rug woven in northwest Persia’s Kurdistan province circa 1890. The salmon-red field contains three Quatrefoil elements and light blue stylized leaves with coral, camel navy blue and green ancillary floral elements. A brick red border of an early style frames the field.
