9 x 12.6 Antique Fereghan Sarouk Carpet, Cypress Tree Design, Central Persia, Circa 1890
Acquired directly from a Massachusetts private collection, this exceptional antique Fereghan Sarouk carpet features the renowned design of four Cypress trees extending horizontally into the field around a central medallion. This is one of the best examples of this important Fereghan Sarouk design group we have seen, with a deep salmon color field and ecru color corner spandrels with a large, green flowerhead. A navy border frames the field.
