A fine late 19th century Mohtasham Kashan rug. The red field is decorated with an ivory medallion and stylized flowers, leaves and vines. Ivory corner spandrels and an uncommon ivory border frame the field.

This rug has a softer palette than many Mohtasham Kashan rugs and would go well in an elegant, formal living room, bedroom or library. It would also make a statement in a foyer.
