3’6″ x 14’8″ Antique Northwest Persian Runner, Boteh (Paisley) Design, Circa 1895

A fascinating and very artistic antique northwest Persian runner. The navy blue field is decorated with polychromatic “Boteh” (Paisley shape motifs) and framed by a beautifully colored striped border with yellow guard borders.

We generally do not count the fringe when listing measurements of rugs. However, this runner has a largely complete webbing at one end (that can be seen at the top of the photo). It measures approximately 14’4″ in length from the end of the pile at each end or approximately 14’8″ in length counting the webbing at that one end.
