3.10 x 5.10 Antique Bidjar Rug, Northwest Persia
A finely woven and well articulated antique Bidjar rug from northwest Persia’s Kurdistan province. The navy field decorated with various leaves and flowers around an eight point central medallion with “anchor” pendants. The red corner spandrels extend vertically to connect, a beautiful and relatively uncommon feature. The ivory border is decorated with scrolling vines and roses.
