3.5 x 11.4 Antique Heriz “Serapi” Runner, Northwest Persia, Circa 1895
A distinctive antique runner rug from the Heriz district in northwest Persia. Heriz rugs of this age and caliber are often referred to colloquially as antique “Serapi” rugs and they are relatively uncommon in runner formats.
This piece features a series of medallions on an abrashed ((variegated) yellow-camel color field.
