3.9 x 8.8 Antique Caucasian Shirvan Long Rug, Northeast Caucasus, Circa 1895

A beautifully colored and well drawn antique Shirvan rug from the northeast Caucasus. The field is decorate with polychromatic vertical stripes containing Both (Paisley shape motifs) and stylized plants. The wool quality is excellent and the pile is thick and fluffy for this type of rug.

An outstanding example that is both collectable and decorative.
