8.8 x 12 Antique Bidjar Carpet, Northwest Persia, Circa 1900
This format in antique Bidjar carpets, with stylized animals and floral forms, is very recognizable but fairly uncommon. The camel color field is another uncommon aspect of the Bidjar carpet.
Featuring a wide array of colors including green, yellow, light blue, navy, camel, ivory, red, coral and a brownish aubergine, this carpet makes a bold statement and would go well in a foyer, wood paneled library, or living or dining room that had the scale to balance the strength of the carpet.
