4.3 x 6.5 Antique Fereghan Sarouk Rug, Herati Design, Central Persia, Circa 1900

A fine Fereghan Sarouk rug, woven in central Persia’s Sultanabad province. The ivory field is decorated with the classical Herati design around a navy blue medallion. Brick red corner spandrels and a well detailed navy blue border frame the field.

While not a top level example, this is a very good, mid-level Fereghan Sarouk rug, the type of piece that we feel currently sells at considerably less than they should and once did. We feel examples such as this represent excellent value at the present time.
