As antique Heriz carpets are generally not very finally woven, though the occasional example is, they attain their primary beauty and value from their charming geometric designs and beautiful, typically naturally dyed colors. This antique Heriz carpet carpet is distinctive in having essentially and “all0over design” field, with no corner spandrels but with a small navy medallion and camel color anchor pendants. The field is decorated with stylized floral motifs and framed by a sky blue border with large scale leaves and stylized flowers.
