5’9″X 9’10” Antique Karabagh Rug, South Caucasian, Circa 1900
In an unusually large size, this antique south Caucasian rug, probably woven in the Karabagh region, features a green and ivory Keyhole style medallion on a denim blue field. Reciprocal Trefoil guard borders and an ivory Crab design major border frame the field. Charming stylized animals, geometric motifs and stylized flowers decorate the field.
