6.3 x 8.9 Antique Heriz Rug, Northwest Persia, Circa 1915
Antique rugs in the approximately 6′ x 9′ size range tend to be difficult to find. Navy fields are less common in antique Heriz carpets than their red field counterparts are; and all-over designs are less common than medallion formats. So, this is a distinctive rug in a number of respects.
The well drawn stylized floral and leaf design has a wide range of colors, including an abundance of green and sky blue.
