4.7 x 6.11 Antique Bidjar Rug, Harshang Design, Circa 1890
An antique Kurdish weaving from the village of Bidjar in northwest Persia’s Kurdistan province. The navy field features the classic Harshang design around an ivory medallion. The corner spandrels continue the Harshang format only an brick red background. A brick red border with the Turtle design frames the field.
